NEIGHBORHOOD IN MANHATTAN

The neighborhood Midtown East, located between 30th and 59th Street on the East Side of Manhattan, is one of the liveliest in New York City.  It is a mixture of business and residential areas; the residential area consists of a blend of luxury buildings that are high rise modern as well as those that have an old world charm. The business section is home to many corporations such as Met Life and Citicorp.  In addition, there is the art deco architectural wonder such as the Chrysler Building and major tourist attractions such as the United Nations, Rockefeller Center, Chrysler Building and Saint Patrick's Cathedral in the neighborhood.  The beautifully renovated Grand Central Terminal, is in the center of Midtown East, and is an architectural marvel lined with shops and restaurants.
